Join a small group or Sunday School class
for Advent, beginning Dec. 3rd!

Our middle school and high school students are discussing "LinC"  which is a fresh, timely, and Bible-based resource that helps students examine faith and life issues using the latest music, movies, and news. By meeting together, Christians become equipped to evaluate their world from a faith-based perspective.
Find a group to help you connect with God's word despite the busyness of everyday life!

Is your reaction to the word, one of fear? Fear that you are not ready for this? That you are too busy to even think about it?
Then this is the perfect time to think about the approach of advent, a 4 week season designed to help us focus on the meaning of Christmas and symbolized by the circular wreath representing God's infinite love, and four candles representing Hope, Love, Joy and Peace. In the center is another candle, The Christ candle. Together these candles represent the Light of GOD coming into the world through the birth of Jesus Christ.
We should also remember the words of Jesus to Martha in Luke 10:38-42,
"You are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed..."
So, why am I bringing this up now? Because you have an opportunity to participate in the writing of our Advent Devotional for this year. In doing so, you can share with your friends, personal stories that have brought new meaning to you and your family as you prepared for and celebrated the birth of Jesus described in the new Testament as it fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament.

Stories of special gifts, purchased or hand-made, perhaps or special decorations, or trips taken, feasts shared, some joyous news revealed.
If you have questions or would like to contribute, please contact me at
We need your input by Nov. 10th, preferably about 300 words and including a relevant scripture reference.
Thank you,
Henry Luss,
Lay Leader
